In addition to the 32 letters to Albert Kilchesty and other correspondence, there are six Filmforum programs featuring Varela's work; three flyers from the San Francisco Cinematheque; a nine-page typescript by Varela, "Notes from the end of the line, " 1986; a newsclipping featuring Varela, nd; an article by James Irwin, "Minorities within a minority, " 1986; an audio cassette (40 minutes) of a pre-screening introduction and post-screening discussion at Filmforum, Los Angeles, 1986; and a copy of the El Paso Museum of Art's exhibition catalogue, CAPIROTADA: EIGHT EL PASO ARTISTS, 1992, featuring an 8-page interview with Varela.
